Why Choose PFC International Academy Camps?

Here at PFC International Academy Camps we understand that you have several different options when choosing the right camp for your young players. We also understand that it is an important and often difficult decision where to spend your hard-earned money and entrust the development and safety of your players. For that reason, we feel it is important that you know some of the distinguishing differences that set us apart from many of our competitors.

Coaches:
The are many camps out there that will claim to provide an "International" Coaching Staff, from places in Europe, the UK, South America, etc. all of whom go through some rigorous evaluation, selection and training process. While this may be true, we feel that it is important to ask a few more detailed questions about the people who will be training your players -
Who exactly will be coaching my players?
What licensing and qualifications do they hold?
What kind of coaching experience do they have?
What experience and/or non-soccer training do they have that qualifies them to direct my players' overall development?

The fact is, many of these "International" camps employ hundreds of new coaches every year, even more. And while some of them may possess some considerable experience, licensing and qualifications, for a large percentage of them coaching is a second hat. Many of them are University students working on holiday and many are part-time coaches with regular day jobs and not much in the way of formal training with youth players. For the most part, you are not being served with full-time, highly trained coaches.

All of our coaches are Premiership-Level Youth Academy Coaches from Europe. What does that mean? That means that all of our coaches are full-time coaches, employed by the largest, most prestigious Youth Club Academies in Europe. This is their job, this is their passion. This is how they support their families. It is what they live for. Coaching for them is not just a fun way to spend a holiday break, visit America and make a little extra cash. They are here because they are passionate about the game, they believe in our coaching philosophy and the are passionate about coaching and educating young players.

European Soccer Clubs invest millions upon millions of dollars (well, euros) into their Youth Academies. It is an investment that identifies young talent and nurtures it in the most effective way possible to secure the future success of the club. Our coaches are the ones charged with protecting the investment and developing that young talent - not only into successful players but into successful young men, as well. As such, our coaches are some of the most well-respected in the game with some of the highest licensing and qualifications available in Europe. They are also classically trained to educate and mentor youth outside of the game. We want you to know that at our camps, you can be sure that your players are not only developing their skill, but are being directed by people with the understanding and knowledge to develop character, as well.

Our Program: The Academy System

Not all Professional Soccer Academies are the same. We can say, however that the most successful ones have one common foundational characteristic: an Individual, Player Led Philosophy - a Player Centered Approach that puts the development of the individual first and foremost. There is no "boiler-plate" training paradigm. Each individual's skill is evaluated and a detailed, personal Pathway Report is specifically designed for each player. Our coaches are experts at the evaluating skill and projecting the best ways to maximizing each individual player's talents. It's the Academy Way, its what they are trained to do and they are the very best at it.

Our Coaching Seminars play an important role in the efficient execution of our coaching philosophy, as well. The seminars provide a useful discourse that not only helps our coaches understand the kind of training your players have already received, allowing for an even greater understanding of each player's needs. They also familiarize your coaches with our program and allow your coaches to carry the training your players receive forward after the camps.

Do the other, larger 'International" Camps provide such detailed, individualized training and communication with your coaches? The answer is NO. That would seem awfully difficult to do when you're hosting over 100,000 campers per year and employing over 800 coaches. The fact is, their coaches are given an itinerary and training paradigm to work off that takes very little consideration into the specific needs of the individual player. Furthermore, very few of the coaches would even be qualified to do so. If they were, there would be no need for a training program for their coaches. We don't need to train our coaches, our coaches do the training because they are the best in the world at it.

If we sound confident, its because we believe in our system because we know it works. We all share a love for this great game and a passion for working with young players and helping them to become the best players and people they can possibly be. We thank you for considering us when its time to decide which soccer camp is most suitable and we look forward to seeing you out on the pitch.

Cheers,
The PFC International Academy Camps Team
